Deck overview

This is an Izzet big-spells value deck built around the two faces of Ashling, Rekindled // Ashling, Rimebound. The front face is a cheap rummaging engine that filters excess lands and late-game draws; the back face turns the commander into a mana engine, providing two mana each turn to cast spells with mana value 4 or greater. That subsidy lets the deck jump ahead on curve into a long line of haymakers: Etali, Primal Storm, Molten Primordial, Prismari, the Inspiration, and Niv-Mizzet, Parun. Wins come from massive, hasted attacks, damage multiplication via Angrath's Marauders and Fiendish Duo, and spell-burst turns with Apex of Power or Sunbird's Invocation that drain the table through Guttersnipe and Longshot, Rebel Bowman. There are no reliable infinite combos; the deck instead snowballs on raw card advantage and top-end density, with high variance and explosive spikier draws.
