Thranduil by user8156919

Format: Commander

Commander: Thranduil, the Elvenking

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Thranduil, the Elvenking is the engine and payoff: the deck races out elf mana dorks, plays Thranduil early, then uses his "all activated abilities" clause to turn graveyard elves into a toolbox. The primary plan is to put Devoted Druid, Immaculate Magistrate and Timberwatch Elf in the graveyard, generate infinite green mana and arbitrary power, and kill by commander damage, with Jarad as an alternative drain. Secondary paths are classic elf-ball: tokens, Priest of Titania/Elvish Archdruid mana, and Craterhoof Behemoth or Ezuri, Renegade Leader overruns. The DFC Trystan and the second Thranduil are value pieces, not hidden commanders. The deck is fast but very commander-hungry.
