The Wheel by TenguHangover

Format: Commander

Commander: Nekusar, the Mindrazer

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This Grixis deck forces opponents to draw extra cards and punishes each draw. Nekusar, the Mindrazer is the central engine: he gives each player an extra draw and deals 1 damage per opponent draw. You stack redundant pingers such as Sheoldred, the Apocalypse, Fate Unraveler, Underworld Dreams, Scrawling Crawler and Orcish Bowmasters, then double them with Solphim, Mayhem Dominus, Ghyrson Starn, Kelermorph and Ojer Axonil. Wheels and forced-draw engines like Wheel of Fortune, Windfall, Font of Mythos and Howling Mine then deal 20+ damage to the whole table per wheel. Secondary paths use Psychosis Crawler, The Locust God, and discard payoffs like Waste Not, Liliana's Caress and Megrim. Sheoldred functions as a hidden commander that can win even when Nekusar is removed.
