Kefka, The Necromancer by TopShelfBoof

DeckCheck Threat Index: 47

Deck overview

This deck is a high-powered Grixis Reanimator deck focused on putting massive, game-warping creatures into the graveyard early and cheating them into play. Rather than depending on Kefka, Court Mage to slowly fill the graveyard, the primary engine relies on targeted search cards like Entomb, Buried Alive, and Unmarked Grave paired with low-cost reanimation spells like Reanimate and Animate Dead. By Turn 4, the deck reliably deploys oppressive threats such as Jin-Gitaxias, Core Augur, Archon of Cruelty, or Valgavoth, Terror Eater, stripping opponent resources and establishing board dominance. Kefka, Court Mage serves as a secondary card advantage and discard engine rather than a mandatory commander bottleneck. Board duplicators like Saw in Half and Devastating Onslaught scale threat output rapidly, closing the game around Turn 6 through overwhelming combat damage and burn.
