Commander: K'rrik, Son of Yawgmoth

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

K'rrik, Son of Yawgmoth is the engine and mana base of a mono-black combo deck that converts life total into black mana. The deck's primary plan is to accelerate K'rrik into play, then use graveyard recursion to raise Necrotic Ooze, giving it Asmodeus's draw-seven and Skirge Familiar's discard-for-B abilities. That engine draws and filters the library into a lethal Exsanguinate or a Chain of Smog/Professor Onyx loop. Backup plans include Aetherflux Reservoir and Bolas's Citadel life-gain storm lines, plus Gray Merchant / Sanguine Bond drains. A dense tutor suite and reanimation package make the combo lines very consistent, but the deck is nearly all-in, with little stack interaction and a hard reliance on the graveyard.
