Deck overview

This Golgari deck utilizes The Odd Acorn Gang to transform wide Squirrel token swarms into tall, lethal threats and immense card draw. Early turns focus on accelerating mana through low-cost dorks and establishing a board of Squirrel tokens using Chatterfang, Squirrel General, Camellia, the Seedmiser, and Chitterspitter. On Turn 4, the commander enters and immediately turns every Squirrel into a sorcery-speed pump engine, granting +2/+2 and trample. By Turn 5, the deck attacks with a massive evasive commander or an unblockable Changeling Outcast, backed by burst power enhancers like Berserk and Tainted Strike. Excess power is converted into decisive value and reach through power-scaling sacrifice spells like Life's Legacy, Disciple of Bolas, Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord, and Rite of Consumption. While vulnerable to well-timed spot removal during combat and sweepers, the deck features strong recursion and alternate swarm plans to close out games reliably by Turn 7.
