Deck overview

Heliod, Sun-Crowned pilots a mono-white life-gain and +1/+1 counter deck. The primary plan is to convert small life-gain triggers from Soul Warden-style creatures into counters on Heliod and payoffs, then attack with an evasive, lifelinking army. Heliod is both the force multiplier and an alternate commander-damage threat: once devotion makes it a creature, The Destined White Mage can give it lifelink and it snowballs into a one-shot clock. Secondary paths include Archangel of Thune and Righteous Valkyrie anthems, Ajani Resolute's emblem, and Fumigate as a reset. Heliod is single-faced; there is no hidden commander. The deck is built to use Heliod's enabler side and its own combat damage as the closer.
