Deck overview

This deck is a high-velocity Izzet spellslinger combo list helmed by Vivi Ornitier. The primary game plan revolves around exploiting Vivi's noncreature cast trigger, which deals 1 damage to each opponent and grows Vivi with +1/+1 counters. By enchanting Vivi with Curiosity, Ophidian Eye, or pairing with Tandem Lookout, every single noncreature spell draws three fresh cards. This massive card injection allows the pilot to chain dozens of cheap cantrips, rituals, and free interaction in a single explosive turn. Vivi's {0} activated ability converts accumulated power into large bursts of blue and red mana, sustaining the storm turn without stalling. The deck closes games via lethal cumulative burn, Grapeshot, or secondary infinite combos including Niv-Mizzet, Parun with Curiosity and Isochron Scepter with Dramatic Reversal. A robust suite of low-cost counterspells and spot removal ensures the combo turn can be shielded against opposing disruption.
