Deck overview

This deck is an aggressive Boros kindred and Equipment deck centered on Thorin Oakenshield and the Dwarves of Erebor. The primary plan revolves around assembling three historic permanents—artifacts, legendaries, or Sagas—to unlock the Storied mechanic. Once achieved, the Enduring Story state lasts for the rest of the game, granting artifacts and creatures ward {1} while activating powerful abilities across your legendary Dwarves. The early game focuses on deploying low-cost Dwarves, ramp, and Equipment such as Lavaspur Boots and Kíli the Resourceful. In the mid game, the deck accelerates its clock using tribal anthems like Flowering of the White Tree and double-strike enablers like Dáin Ironfoot and Fireshrieker. High-impact payoffs such as Balin, Loremaster and Bifur, Melodic Rider double triggers and dish out substantial burn. Protection spells like Boros Charm and Mithril Coat safeguard your board against destruction wipes, enabling consecutive lethal combat steps to eliminate opponents by Turn 8.
