Deck overview

This is a Gruul Werewolf tribal deck built around Tovolar, Dire Overlord's two faces. The front side is the engine: Wolves and Werewolves draw cards on combat damage, and Tovolar turns the game to night to flip the team. The back side, Tovolar, the Midnight Scourge, is a mana-sink finisher that pumps a Wolf or Werewolf with trample. The deck is not a combo deck; it wins through incremental combat damage, a wide transformed board, combat tricks like Uncaged Fury and Unnatural Growth, and the infect alpha strike of Triumph of the Hordes. The Celestus, Arlinn, the Pack's Hope, and Unnatural Moonrise provide day/night manipulation, while Tireless Tracker and Werewolf Pack Leader add card flow. The primary weakness is how dependent the plan is on Tovolar and on combat connecting before opponents stabilize.
