Deck overview

This is a casual Izzet coin-flip deck built around Zndrsplt, Eye of Wisdom and Okaun, Eye of Chaos. The commanders form a useful engine: won flips draw cards through Zndrsplt, Eye of Wisdom and double Okaun, Eye of Chaos's power and toughness. The main problem is that the engine is expensive to assemble and does not convert its average output into a reliable kill. Krark's Thumb, Tavern Scoundrel, Chance Encounter, and Krark, the Thumbless improve favorable outcomes, but they are not consistently assembled together. The deck has reasonable interaction and several ways to preserve a commander, yet it usually must spend its mana developing instead of holding up protection. Its alternate wins are also conditional: Chance Encounter needs ten luck counters, while Triskaidekaphile needs exactly thirteen cards at upkeep. The result is a flavorful value-and-combat deck with strong high-roll turns, but no dependable finish or lockout.
