Format: Commander

Commander: Valgavoth, Harrower of Souls

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Valgavoth, Harrower of Souls leads a Rakdos group-slug deck that wins by making every draw, land drop, and spell hurt. Valgavoth draws cards and grows whenever opponents lose life on their turns, turning small pings into card advantage. The deck stacks punishers like Sheoldred, Underworld Dreams, Fate Unraveler, and Orcish Bowmasters with damage doublers Fiendish Duo and Solphim and life-loss doublers Archfiend of Despair and Wound Reflection. Heartless Hidetsugu and Unstoppable Slasher provide one-shot closes, while Gray Merchant and Chandra's Ignition offer alternative drains. It plays as a slow, redundant attrition engine that grinds the table down rather than assembling a single infinite combo.
