Format: Commander

Commander: Hazel of the Rootbloom

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This Golgari Squirrel tribal deck builds a wide board of 1/1 Squirrel tokens and wins with combat anthems. Hazel of the Rootbloom is the mana engine and value doubler: she taps untapped tokens for mana and copies a token at your end step, making two copies if it is a Squirrel. Secondary paths include poison from Bloodroot Apothecary, drain from Valley Rotcaller, and Food synergies with Ygra, Eater of All and Camellia. Chatterfang, Squirrel General acts as the hidden commander, doubling every token you make and turning Squirrels into removal. With no infinite combo, the deck relies on assembling tokens, then closing with Coat of Arms, Beastmaster Ascension, or Preposterous Proportions.
