Commander: Muddle, the Ever-Changing

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

This Izzet deck builds around Muddle, the Ever-Changing as a flexible copy engine. The primary plan is to cast instants and sorceries to turn Muddle into a copy of a high-impact nonlegendary creature with myriad, multiplying attack triggers. Secondary paths include generating an army via copy spells and token makers, then using a large commander or evasive threat to close out combat. The deck also has a small treasure subtheme that can accelerate into bigger spells or sustain repeated casting. The hidden commander is Malcolm, Keen-Eyed Navigator, providing a reliable pirate lord effect that turns attack damage into treasure, especially relevant when Muddle copies it and myriad creates multiple pirates.
