Deck overview

This is a Sultai Elfball deck driven by Thranduil, the Elvenking, who transforms your graveyard into a toolbox of activated abilities and provides steady card advantage when legendary Elves enter. The primary plan is ruthless mana acceleration through a dense core of Elf dorks (12+ sources), enabling either an infinite-mana line via Staff of Domination (untapping a dork like Priest of Titania or Elvish Archdruid) or a combat overrun with Ezuri, Renegade Leader. Secondary wins include Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord draining tables with a huge creature, Lathril, Blade of the Elves's ten-tap drain, and mass recursion from Living Death. The commander's ability to activate any Elf ability from the graveyard (e.g., tapping a buried Priest) adds huge resilience and mana flexibility.
