Deck overview

This mono-black deck combines midrange attrition, high-density creature removal, and an explicit two-card infinite combo finish. Early turns focus on establishing mana through basic Swamps, mana rocks, and cost reducers like Jet Medallion and Bontu's Monument, while stabilizing with sweepers such as Toxic Deluge and The Meathook Massacre. Value engines like Black Market Connections, Phyrexian Arena, and Empower Jace mechanics generate sustained card advantage. The commander, Yargle, Glutton of Urborg, serves as an efficient 9/3 threat that enables massive card draw through Rise of the Deathbringer and enables free removal via Deadly Rollick. The deck closes games either through combat damage amplified by Archfiend of Despair and reanimated threats, or by assembling the infinite life-drain loop between Exquisite Blood and Sanguine Bond.
