Deck overview

This deck is a Jund Lands and Aristocrats strategy led by Szarel, Genesis Shepherd. The primary game plan develops mana on Turns 1 through 3 using ramp spells and self-sacrificing fetchlands. On Turn 4, Szarel enters to establish a graveyard land engine, allowing you to replay lands each turn while growing creatures whenever nontoken permanents are sacrificed. In the mid-game, the deck leverages high-impact landfall and sacrifice engines such as The Gitrog Monster, Korvold, Fae-Cursed King, and Titania, Protector of Argoth. On Turn 6, the deck presents critical pressure through massive token generation or extra combat phases from cards like Omnath, Locus of Rage, Scute Swarm, and Moraug, Fury of Akoum. While the deck features strong card flow and engine recovery, it lacks dedicated instant-speed protective spells, making it vulnerable to well-timed board wipes and graveyard exile.
