Deck overview

Golbez, Crystal Collector leads a UB artifact-value deck that aims to flood the battlefield with cheap artifacts, using Golbez's surveil and graveyard recursion to maintain card advantage. The primary win condition is a bounce-untap engine: Mirran Spy plus Steelfin Whale, enchanted with Banishing Knack or Retraction Helix, and a zero-cost artifact to loop infinite artifact casts. With Sai, Master Thopterist on board, the loop produces infinite Thopter tokens, which can finish through Time Sieve's extra turn or an overwhelming combat. Secondary plans include beating down with Myr Battlesphere and using Golbez's end-step drain once eight artifacts are present. The commander is a value engine; the deck can operate without him through artifact synergies, though it is slower.
