Deck overview

This mono-blue deck combines Merfolk tribal synergies with spellslinger tempo mechanics, commanded by Namor, the Sub-Mariner. Namor converts noncreature spells featuring blue mana symbols into 1/1 Merfolk tokens, scaling Namor's flying power and building a wide battlefield. Mana engines like Three Tree City, White Lotus Tile, and High Tide take advantage of this high creature density to cast large draw spells like Transcendent Message and Mathemagics. Tribal lords such as Lord of Atlantis, Master of the Pearl Trident, and Attuma, Atlantean Warlord grant anthem buffs and islandwalk, allowing the deck to close games through unblockable combat damage. Built-in protection from Samut, Tyrant of Naktamun granting split second to spells, alongside March of Swirling Mist and flexible countermagic, shields key permanents while advancing the board state.
