Deck overview

This deck turns severe creature drawbacks into game-winning advantages using Abigale, Eloquent First-Year. By casting heavily undercosted, massive creatures such as Phyrexian Soulgorger, Hunted Horror, Rotting Regisaur, and Lupine Prototype on early turns, the deck deploys enormous physical stats ahead of the mana curve. Casting Abigale on Turn 3 targets these creatures, erasing all their self-sabotaging abilities while granting flying, first strike, and lifelink counters. This produces gigantic evasive threats that dominate combat, pressure opposing life totals, and rapidly build a high life cushion. That massive lifegain powers card draw engines like Well of Lost Dreams and fuels a decisive finish through Aetherflux Reservoir or relentless aerial combat. Supported by efficient Orzhov single-target removal, black tutors, and cheap instant flicker spells, the deck maintains steady tempo while protecting its key threats.
