Deck overview

This deck helms a Dimir Villain tribal strategy helmed by Doctor Octopus, Master Planner, whose anthem effect for other Villains and end-of-turn draw engine encourage a midrange grind plan. The deck floods the board with Villain creatures - many with connive, deathtouch, or flying - and leverages recursion from the graveyard via Behold the Sinister Six, mayhem abilities, and Decoy Ploy. The commander's high mana cost (7) and the lack of fast mana make it a slower value deck that wins through incremental combat damage and drain effects from Kang, Temporal Tyrant or Merciless Enforcers. A small suite of counterspells and removal provides interaction, but the deck relies heavily on the commander for card flow and board presence.
