Deck overview

This deck is a proactive Simic midrange strategy centered on The Astonishing Ant-Man. It converts regular card draw into +1/+1 counters and turns those counters into an expanding army of 1/1 Insect tokens. Strong early ramp sets up the commander by turn 2 or 3, leading into rapid token generation by turn 4. Counter doublers like Branching Evolution and engines like Skullclamp quickly scale the battlefield into a lethal threat by turn 6. The deck finishes games on turn 7 through decisive combat overruns such as Craterhoof Behemoth or unblockable attacks with Herald of Secret Streams. While the deck possesses explosive draw power and resilient backup token generators, its main vulnerabilities stem from a lack of dedicated creature tutors and complete exposure to board sweepers like Farewell or Toxic Deluge.
