Slobad Artifact Value by H3racr055

Format: Commander

Commander: Slobad, Iron Goblin

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

This is a mono-red artifact sacrifice-and-recur midrange deck helmed by Slobad, Iron Goblin. The core loop is simple: deploy cheap artifacts, use Slobad's tap ability to sacrifice them for red mana equal to their mana value, and pour that mana into oversized artifact threats like Hellkite Igniter, Moltensteel Dragon, and Colossus of Akros. The deck leans heavily on a dense recursion package - Daretti, Scrap Savant, Scrap Trawler, Myr Retriever, Junk Diver, Scrap Welder, and Trash for Treasure - to keep the artifact count high and rebuild after wipes. Wins come primarily through combat damage from evasive or huge artifact creatures, supplemented by direct damage from Bosh, Iron Golem and Giggling Skitterspike. There are no infinite combos; this is a grinding value deck that aims to out-muscle the table with recurring, hard-to-answer artifact bodies.
