Deck overview

This deck is a Sultai Big Mana stompy deck centered on Zaxara, the Exemplary. The primary strategy focuses on deploying early ramp to cast Zaxara on Turn 3, untapping on Turn 4 to begin chaining high-impact X-spells. Every X-cost spell triggers Zaxara to produce a scaling Hydra token, building a massive and wide board state in parallel with spell resolution. The deck finishes games either through overwhelming combat damage with trampling and unblockable Hydras enabled by Kodama of the West Tree, Sphere Grid, and Open into Wonder, or through a devastating Torment of Hailfire. The interaction suite provides strong flexibility across all permanent types through cards like Assassin's Trophy, Curse of the Swine, and Steelbane Hydra. However, the deck relies heavily on creature permanents surviving across turn cycles, making it vulnerable to board wipes and tempo loss without dedicated card replenishment.
