Deck overview

This Golgari deck is led by Chatterfang, Squirrel General, focusing on a potent combination of go-wide token swarm and aristocrat sacrifice strategies. Chatterfang turns every token generated—whether Treasure, Food, Clue, or Creature—into additional 1/1 green Squirrel creature tokens, accelerating board presence at an exponential rate. The deck leverages efficient 1-2 CMC ramp to deploy Chatterfang on Turn 3 and immediately begins chaining token producers like Peregrin Took, Tireless Provisioner, and Academy Manufactor. Massive card advantage from Skullclamp, Toski, Bearer of Secrets, and Plumb the Forbidden keeps the hand full of gas. The deck closes games through explosive overruns with Beastmaster Ascension and End-Raze Forerunners, aristocrat life-drain via Mirkwood Bats and Zulaport Cutthroat, or an infinite token loop using Ivy Lane Denizen and Scurry Oak. With flexible removal and instant-speed sacrifice capability, the deck commands strong battlefield control and high resilience.
