Azula by Draven1256

Format: Commander

Commander: Fire Lord Azula

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This deck is a Grixis spellslinger/combat hybrid helmed by Fire Lord Azula, leveraging her attack-triggered firebending mana and spell-copying ability to chain instant and sorcery spells for overwhelming value. The primary game plan involves generating red mana through firebending creatures (like Fire Sages and Fire Nation Cadets), then using Azula's copy effect to duplicate pump spells, removal, or card draw while she's attacking. The deck aims to win through combat damage, using spells like Sozin's Comet to give all creatures massive firebending, or via Warstorm Surge for direct damage on creature ETBs. Secondary win conditions include Electro, Assaulting Battery's death trigger and Leyline Tyrant's lategame burst. The deck has a moderate speed and relies on incremental advantage rather than infinite combos.
