Deck overview

This Orzhov deck leverages King of the Oathbreakers to assemble an evasive army of flying Spirit tokens while turning single-target spells into protective phasing triggers. The strategy deploys early Spirit generators and mana rocks, establishing the commander by Turn 4. From there, mass token creators such as Lingering Souls and Thalisse, Reverent Medium multiply board presence, while spells like Heaven's Gate and Cauldron Haze target multiple friendly Spirits to simultaneously dodge removal and trigger mass token creation on the following upkeep. Static anthems including Intangible Virtue and Drogskol Reinforcements scale airborne damage to close the game across multiple combat rounds or finish players directly with Devouring Greed. The deck boasts built-in resilience against targeted removal due to its commander's innate phasing trigger, though it remains vulnerable to non-targeted board sweepers and lacks extensive instant-speed interaction against noncreature combos.
