Deck overview

This deck is an Esper control and Voltron strategy centered on Zur the Enchanter. The primary game plan is to accelerate mana on Turn 2, deploy Zur on Turn 3, and begin attacking on Turn 4 to tutor critical enchantments directly onto the battlefield. Early attacks establish robust protection using Diplomatic Immunity or secure insurmountable card advantage via Rhystic Study. On Turn 5, Zur assembles an oppressive defensive barrier using Solemnity combined with Delaying Shield or Phyrexian Unlife, which prevents all incoming damage and counter placement. Supported by extensive pillowfort effects like Ghostly Prison, Blind Obedience, and Authority of the Consuls, the deck shuts down aggressive creature strategies. Win conditions are executed through Voltron combat damage, stacking Auras such as All That Glitters and Sheltered by Ghosts to eliminate opponents sequentially while holding up a dense suite of cheap countermagic and exile removal.
