Deck overview

This deck is an Esper lifegain control and midrange strategy built around Oloro, Ageless Ascetic. In the opening turns, it leverages Oloro's passive eminence trigger from the command zone to maintain a high life total while deploying defensive permanents such as Authority of the Consuls and Hushbringer. The deck focuses on hitting land drops using Land Tax and Claim Jumper to reach the mid-to-late game. Once sufficient mana is available, it casts Oloro, Ageless Ascetic to turn life gain into consistent card draw, or transitions directly into deploying large flying threats like Avacyn, Angel of Hope, Liesa, Forgotten Archangel, and Iona, Shield of Emeria. The deck secures victory by grinding down opposing resources with sweepers like Winds of Abandon and finishing the table through evasive combat damage supported by reach spells like Debt to the Deathless.
