Deck overview

This mono-red spellslinger deck centers on Ashling, Flame Dancer to convert cheap instants and sorceries into sustained card velocity, board suppression, and massive mana generation. Ashling's static ability prevents unspent red mana from draining between steps and phases, turning ritual chains into permanent mana reserves. Her Magecraft triggers loot cards, deal 2 damage to all opposing creatures and players on the second resolution each turn, and refund {R}{R}{R}{R} on the third resolution. By pairing low-cost rituals like Desperate Ritual and Seething Song with copy effects like Reverberate and Increasing Vengeance, the deck storms through its library and fills the graveyard. It then utilizes recursion engines such as Past in Flames and Mizzix's Mastery to generate lethal mana pools, finishing the entire table in one strike with large multi-target X-spells including Jaya's Immolating Inferno and Comet Storm.
