Vivi, Trouble Maker

Format: Commander

Commander: Vivi Ornitier

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Vivi Ornitier is a scaling Izzet spellslinger engine: every noncreature spell grows her power and pings each opponent, and her once-per-turn mana ability turns that power into colored mana for chaining further spells. The primary plan is to flood the board with cheap instants/sorceries, trigger Vivi and a handful of pinger creatures, then use storm effects (Grapeshot, Thousand-Year Storm, Crackling Spellslinger, Prismari) to finish. Secondary lines use Ghyrson Starn to amplify one-damage pings and the Niv-Mizzet, Parun + Curiosity infinite draw-damage loop. The deck is commander-driven but includes enough independent engines to play on without Vivi, albeit slower.
