Deck overview

This deck is an aggressive Boros synergy engine led by Ragost, Deft Gastronaut, converting cheap artifact eggs into potent Food-fueled burn. By granting Ragost lifelink through cards like Basilisk Collar, Lifelink, or Spirit Link, each 3-damage activation to the table immediately gains 9 life, satisfying Ragost's end-step condition to untap itself. The deck rapidly cycles through low-mana cantrip artifacts like Ichor Wellspring, Nutrient Block, and Chromatic Star, maintaining steady card velocity while assembling engine multipliers such as Sting, the Glinting Dagger, Drumbellower, or Weapons Manufacturing. Once fully online by Turn 5, Ragost repeatedly pings each opponent across multiple turns and combat phases, racking up 40 damage across the table by Turn 7. A dedicated package of 1-mana defensive spells, including Blacksmith's Skill and Loran's Escape, shields the commander from targeted removal, while Ghostly Prison and massive life totals buffer against counterattacks.
