Deck overview

This deck is an Orzhov group slug and tax strategy commanded by Kambal, Consul of Allocation. It aims to slow down aggressive and spell-heavy opponents through early stax pieces like Deafening Silence, Blind Obedience, and Aura of Silence while penalizing opposing actions with persistent life-drain triggers. Kambal, Consul of Allocation taxes noncreature spells for two life, while cards like Sheoldred, the Apocalypse, Blood Seeker, and Polluted Bonds steadily reduce opposing life totals across every phase of the game. Defensive permanents such as Ghostly Prison and Windborn Muse deter combat attacks, giving the deck the time needed to draw into its primary win condition. The deck secures victory by assembling a two-card infinite combo between Exquisite Blood or Bloodthirsty Conqueror and a lifegain-triggered damage source like Sanguine Bond, Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose, or Enduring Tenacity, draining all three opponents instantaneously in a single turn.
