Commander: The Serpent Society

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

The Serpent Society is a grindy Golgari deathtouch deck that wins by converting small, profitable attacks into poison counters. The commander's death-trigger sacrifice effect strips opposing boards of nontoken creatures, while Fynn, the Fangbearer acts as the hidden commander: once he lands, every deathtouch hit becomes two poison counters. Backup plans run through Rev, Tithe Extractor's treasure and card advantage, Baron Helmut Zemo copying black spells, and the deck's many tutors. With no infinite combos or counterspells, the deck tries to out-value and out-trade the table, then close with Fynn or a couple of toxic creatures.
