Deck overview

This Orzhov deck uses Kambal, Profiteering Mayor to convert continuous token generation and lifegain into steady table-wide life drain. The deck curves out with low-cost token producers like Cat Collector, Lita, Little Orphan Amphibian, and Dollmaker's Shop // Porcelain Gallery, supported by aristocrat engines such as Bastion of Remembrance, Marionette Apprentice, and Mirkwood Bats. Kambal, Profiteering Mayor punishes opposing token strategies by copying enemy tokens once per turn while draining each opponent whenever your tokens enter. A versatile removal package featuring Swords to Plowshares, Anguished Unmaking, Generous Gift, and Stroke of Midnight eliminates opposing threats while gifting tokens that trigger Kambal's ability. As the game develops, token multipliers like Mondrak, Glory Dominus and Elspeth, Storm Slayer establish overwhelming board states, finishing opponents through rapid drain triggers or an overrun via Porcelain Gallery.
