Deck overview

This Esper Commander deck commands Alela, Artful Provocateur to pilot an artifact and enchantment token-swarm strategy. The game plan leverages cheap mana rocks, cost reducers, and low-cost enchantments to deploy Alela on turn 3 or 4. Once assembled, every subsequent artifact and enchantment spell generates a 1/1 flying Faerie token that benefits from Alela's native flying anthem. The deck locks down opposing ground combat using pillowfort enchantments such as Ghostly Prison, Propaganda, Sphere of Safety, and Magus of the Moat, breaking parity by attacking exclusively through the air. In the mid-to-late game, wide boards of evasive tokens are supercharged by powerful scaling anthems including Cathars' Crusade, Coat of Arms, Banner of Kinship, and Akroma's Will. While vulnerable to mass exile sweepers like Farewell and heavy commander removal, the deck's high card density of redundant enchantments and tribal synergies provides steady resilience and relentless aerial pressure.
