Deck overview

The deck uses Heidar, Rimewind Master as a late-game bounce engine once it controls four snow permanents. Its main route is not the commander itself, but Marit Lage's Slumber supported by a high count of Snow-Covered Islands and other snow permanents. After ten snow permanents are present, the enchantment creates Marit Lage, a 20/20 flying, indestructible token. Ordinary access is slow because the deck has no direct tutor for the enchantment and only partial selection. The expected onset is around turn 10, followed by three attacks that finish around turn 13. Counters and bounce can protect the route or slow opponents, while Back to Basics, Winter Orb, Static Orb, and Stasis offer situational restriction. However, these effects are not reliably asymmetric, and the deck has no compact combo or total lock. It is a functional casual control deck with a clear theme, but its mana, access, recovery, and finishing speed are limited.
