Deck overview

This Rakdos deck is a dynamic hybrid of forced-combat group slug and a compact reanimation combo. Led by Xantcha, Sleeper Agent, the deck accelerates table damage by passing aggressive threats like Xantcha, Slicer, Hired Muscle, and Alexios, Deimos of Kosmos around the board while goading enemy creatures with Kardur, Doomscourge and Disrupt Decorum. Symmetrical burn from Descent into Avernus quickly drains life totals. Beneath this political slug exterior lies a game-ending combo: entombing Worldgorger Dragon and reviving it with Animate Dead or Necromancy. This generates infinite mana and allows you to repeatedly activate Xantcha's ability, draining all opponents to zero on the spot. Backed by cheap removal, modal answers, and Defense Grid for protection, the deck applies relentless pressure before closing the game decisively.
