Deck overview

This deck is an Esper token-aristocrats strategy commanded by Marneus Calgar. The game plan revolves around deploying low-cost, repeatable token generators such as Bitterblossom, Skrelv's Hive, Ophiomancer, and Lotho, Corrupt Shirriff in the opening turns. Once Marneus enters on Turn 4, every token creation event draws a card, quickly snowballing hand size and card velocity. The deck uses this card advantage to flood the battlefield with creature and artifact tokens while deploying lethal finishers like Commissar Severina Raine, Mirkwood Bats, and Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite. A secondary combo line exists with Ashnod's Altar and Training Grounds, allowing Marneus to draw the library and produce infinite mana. Robust interaction and board protection ensure the token engine survives sweepers to close out games through overwhelming combat damage and widespread life drain by Turn 7.
