Deck overview

This Temur Dragon tribal deck is engineered around ramping quickly into its commander, Ureni of the Unwritten, to cheat colossal flying threats directly into play. The early game focuses on land ramp and dragon-specific cost reducers to cross the seven-mana threshold on Turn 5. Upon arrival, Ureni looks eight cards deep to place an impactful Dragon onto the battlefield, creating an immediate, must-answer airborne threat. Synergies like Dragon Tempest and Temur Ascendancy provide vital haste and card draw, enabling Ureni to attack immediately and trigger again. The deck converts card advantage directly into lethal combat damage, leveraging heavy hitters like Atarka, World Render and Scourge of the Throne to dismantle life totals within two combat rounds. While resilient against single-target interaction thanks to built-in enter-the-battlefield triggers, the deck remains vulnerable to board sweepers and lacks dedicated tutors to guarantee its defensive shields.
