Deck overview

This Golgari deck is a sacrifice-based combo deck that wins by turning repeated creature deaths into drain damage. The primary plan is to assemble one of several infinite loops-Gravecrawler plus Phyrexian Altar plus Carrion Feeder plus Blood Artist is the fastest, while Basking Broodscale plus Long Feng plus Carrion Feeder plus Blood Artist is a lower-mana alternative. Ashnod's Altar with Pitiless Plunderer and Reassembling Skeleton provides a second engine. Tom, Bert, and William serve as a card-drawing engine, converting large or expendable creatures into new resources. Sephiroth acts as a hidden commander: its front face draws on sacrifice, and the fourth death in a turn transforms it into One-Winged Angel with a drain emblem. Meren, Yedora, and Eternal Witness keep the engine running after wipes or removal.
