Sauron wraiths, to rule them all. by dyggie

Format: Commander

Commander: Sauron, the Dark Lord

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This Grixis list is a midrange amass/Wraith deck. Sauron, the Dark Lord is the command-zone draw engine: his ward keeps him alive, his amass trigger punishes opponent spells, and each Ring temptation can discard a dead hand for four fresh cards. Lord of the Nazgul acts as a hidden commander, turning every instant/sorcery into a 3/3 Wraith; once a ninth Wraith appears, they all become 9/9 and can close a pod in one swing. Secondary lines grow a single Army with Saruman, the White Hand and Sauron, Lord of the Rings, then use Chandra's Ignition or Fiery Inscription/The Great Goblin for direct damage. Reanimation (Animate Dead, Reanimate, Marchesa) recovers key pieces. No infinite combo is present; wins come from engine assembly and one massive combat.
