Syr Vondam Blink B2 by il_Dav

Format: Commander

Commander: Syr Vondam, Sunstar Exemplar

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This Orzhov blink/value deck is helmed by Syr Vondam, Sunstar Exemplar, a commander that grows with +1/+1 counters whenever another creature you control dies or is exiled, and can destroy a nonland permanent when it itself dies or is exiled with power 4+. The primary strategy is to repeatedly flicker creatures to generate ETB triggers, accumulate counters on the commander, and eventually use its death trigger as removal. The deck packs a high density of flicker spells (Cloudshift, Ephemerate, Eerie Interlude, Ghostway) and repeatable engines (Conjurer's Closet, Teleportation Circle, Far Traveler), alongside ETB value creatures like Ravenous Chupacabra, Skyclave Apparition, and Karmic Guide. Win conditions are combat damage from the commander and other creatures, with Inkshield providing a surprise token swarm. The deck also includes board wipes and graveyard hate to control the table.
