Deck overview

This Grixis deck is an amass/artifact hybrid. The primary plan is to grow one enormous Army with Saruman, the White Hand, Bothersome Noisemaker, Warg Rider, and amass spells, then finish with Assault on Osgiliath. Sauron, the Dark Lord is the command-zone draw engine: whenever the Army connects, the Ring tempts him into discarding a dead hand for four cards. A secondary artifact combo shell (Corridor Monitor + Splinter Twin, Chromatic Orrery + Filigree Sages) can win out of nowhere, and equipment like Vorpal Sword and Quietus Spike offer alternate kills. Saruman functions as a hidden commander, since the deck is built around his noncreature-spell amass trigger. The deck is fast but fragile to artifact hate.
