Deck overview

This is a four-color (WURG) Partner Commander deck helmed by Tana, the Bloodsower and Ishai, Ojutai Dragonspeaker, built around a "go-wide tokens meets commander aggro" strategy with a deep Background enchantment subtheme. The core game plan pairs Tana's combat-driven Saproling generation with Ishai's counter-growing inevitability, supercharged by a suite of Backgrounds that grant double strike, unblockability, +10/+10, or Treasure on attack. Doubling Season doubles both token production and +1/+1 counters, Purphoros, God of the Forge turns every Saproling into a 2-damage ping to each opponent, and Cryptolith Rite converts your swarm into a rainbow mana engine. A robust draw package - Mystic Remora, Esper Sentinel, Trouble in Pairs, Edric, Spymaster of Trest, and Toski, Bearer of Secrets - keeps the hand full, while a dense instant-speed interaction shell of free counters, protection spells, and spot removal protects the board and the commanders. ---
