Deck overview

This deck is commanded by Rendmaw, Creaking Nest and focuses on maximizing cards with two or more card types, such as artifact creatures, enchantment creatures, and artifact lands. Casting these multi-type spells triggers Rendmaw to give every player a 2/2 black Bird token with flying that is goaded for the rest of the game. By forcing opponents to attack each other in the air, the deck rapidly drains opposing life totals while keeping you safe from direct combat damage. As these tokens clash and die, aristocrat payoffs like Blood Artist, Poison-Tip Archer, and Syr Konrad, the Grim bleed opponents further. High-impact finishers such as Massacre Wurm capitalize on the swarm of 2/2 Birds by wiping opposing boards and dealing lethal burst damage. The deck combines steady card flow, heavy token generation, and resilient Golgari recursion into an aggressive political attrition engine.
