Deck overview

Meren of Clan Nel Toth is the command-zone recursion engine for a Golgari midrange self-mill deck. The primary plan is to fill the graveyard with utility creatures and finishers, then use Meren's end-step trigger to recur the best piece each turn. The clearest win line is reanimating Avenger of Zendikar and untapping with Overwhelming Stampede or Overrun; a secondary line drains opponents with Zulaport Cutthroat, Poison-Tip Archer, and Cauldron of Essence while Meren sacrifices Spore Frog for protection. Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord functions as a secondary commander and can fling a huge creature. The deck has no infinite combo but strong grind, with dozens of sacrifice and recursion triggers.
