New Untitled Deck by NodrogDOW

Format: Commander

Commander: Captain Howler, Sea Scourge

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a tempo-oriented Izzet discard-matters deck helmed by Captain Howler, Sea Scourge, a commander that turns every discard into a combat pump and card-draw engine. The strategy revolves around looting and cycling effects to fill the graveyard, quickly deploy Anger and Wonder for haste and flying, then use the commander's ability to grow a creature (often itself) into a one-shot threat. The deck layers multiple combat phases via Fear of Missing Out, Great Train Heist, and Seize the Day to chain pumps and draws, finishing with either a massive Chandra's Ignition or repeated combat damage. Secondary payoffs like Glint-Horn Buccaneer and Monument to Endurance provide alternative reach, while a robust suite of counterspells and removal keeps the path clear. The deck is linear but explosive, relying on its looting density to find key pieces rather than traditional tutors.
