Deck overview

Wolverine, Best There Is commands an aggressive Gruul Voltron deck built to exploit damage doubling and rapid combat eliminations. The primary strategy ramps out Wolverine on Turn 2 or Turn 3, then utilizes power-doubling instants, equipment, and combat tricks to execute single-hit commander damage knockouts starting on Turn 4. Because Wolverine doubles all damage he deals, modest power buffs like Monstrous Rage and double-strike enablers like Temur Battle Rage cleanly cross the 21 commander damage threshold. The deck supports this aggression with fight and bite spells that trigger Wolverine's counter growth while clearing potential blockers. Defensive spells like Mithril Coat, Heroic Intervention, and built-in regeneration maintain board presence against removal. While the deck possesses lethal single-target burst damage, it must eliminate opponents one by one across multiple turn cycles, leaving windows for opposing interaction.
