Deck overview

This deck is an aggressive Boros Dwarf tribal and Equipment strategy commanded by Thorin Oakenshield. The primary plan establishes the Storied mechanic early by fielding three historic permanents—artifacts, legendary cards, or Sagas. This unlocks an Enduring Story, granting Ward {1} to all your creatures and artifacts to protect your developing board. The deck quickly accelerates its mana through Dwarf-driven Treasure generators like Magda, Brazen Outlaw, Smothering Tithe, and Goldspan Dragon. Once assembled, it converts wide Dwarf boards and stockpiled artifact tokens into lethal combat pressure using anthem effects like Flowering of the White Tree, Thorin, King of Durin's Folk, and Bifur, Melodic Rider. Robust defensive spells such as Teferi's Protection and Flawless Maneuver preserve your board against sweepers, while alternate win conditions like Hellkite Tyrant and Aggravated Assault offer explosive finishes. The deck delivers steady card flow, reliable combat scaling, and strong resilience against targeted interaction.
